Jianing is the founder of Culture Connect and a passionate travel enthusiast!

Growing up in Brazil, she was inspired by the friendly atmosphere there, which motivated her to create a project in Shanghai aimed at offering immigrants a similar sense of welcome. Her goal is to cultivate a supportive network that begins within her community in Shanghai. Feel free to contact her with any questions about life in Shanghai.

Xiao Sitong is a co-founder of Culture Connect and a person with wide-ranging interests! She was born in Denmark, educated in Wuhan, and spent one year in Philadelphia when she was 8 years old. The diverse cultural experiences she has have motivated her to help foreigners adapt to new cities—especially those with small immigrant populations. Her goal is to build a supportive network that starts within her community in Wuhan. Feel free to reach out to her with any questions about life in Wuhan.

Kimbra is an Aussie living in China teaching at an Shanghai American School for close to 20 years. Her daughters grew up here, and she knows her way around the city. She's a librarian who loves reading, duh, travelling, and expoloring the city.

Simon C is a British living in Wuhan, China for about 11 years. He teaches at Wuhan-British school for about 8 years. He is an EAP teacher and a computer science teacher.

Ace Wang is the founder of Acekidz International Preschool, situated in the vibrant international community of Biyun. She is also the leader of the Piglets Cycling Club. If you’re interested in early childhood education or the cycling club, don’t hesitate to get in touch with her!

Philip Friedrich is a German football coach, PE teacher, and educator in Shanghai. He has been living and working there since 2013 and currently coaches at the Phoenix Football Academy as well as the Y League. Philip is also active in various sports, including running, biking, padel, and football. If you’re looking for sports clubs for your kids or want to connect with the German community, feel free to reach out to him!

Victor Wei is the founder of the Victor Fishing Club. He has extensive fishing experience and is also skilled at guiding foreigners on various outdoor fishing trips. If you are interested in freshwater fishing around Wuhan, you can contact him.
